World’s Highest Escalator

Umeda Sky Building
The Umeda Sky Building is the seventh-tallest building in Osaka City, Japan. This 173m (568 feet) building was designed by Hiroshi Hara and was constructed by Takenaka Corporation and was completed in 1993. It consists of two 40-story towers that connect at their two uppermost stories, with bridges and an escalator crossing the wide atrium-like space in the center. The escalator can make you feel like you are floating up into the sky. It is the cheap way to see Osaka City, less than USD10 to go up the observation area.

Burj Dubai Will Become Tallest Building In The World

Dubai
Burj Dubai will overtake Taipei 101 and become the world’s highest building in the future. It is already significantly higher than Chicago Sears Tower and is quickly approaching the title of the highest concrete free-standing structure.

Wikipedia

In February 2007, the Burj Dubai surpassed the Sears Tower as the building with the most floors in the world. As of June 24, 2007, the tower’s height was 492.9 metres (1,617 ft), with 136 floors. The Burj Dubai has surpassed the Petronas Twin Towers (452 metres (1,483 ft)) to become the second-tallest building in the world. Rising at its current rate of 4–5 days per floor, it will also surpass the Taipei 101 (509 metres (1,670 ft)) in July to become the tallest building in the world, then CN Tower (553.3 metres (1,815 ft)) and the Warsaw Radio Mast (646.4 metres (2,121 ft)) to become the tallest land-based structure ever built. However, the CTBUH, like most standards bodies, will not recognize its world-record height until it is occupied.
